The following is an email that I recently received from Feroze. Feroze is the preacher at the Ann’s Grove Church of Christ in Guyana, where we worked this summer. He was born in a Muslim family and was beaten and disowned when he converted. Lately his family has rebuilt that relationship, but he has had plenty of other struggles as well. Nonetheless, Feroze is a strong Christian man who has a gift for sharing and teaching God’s word. He was a great encouragement to me, and here is the email he sent to me today…
Hello Dear:
We pray that you are doing well both in health and spirit. It was a great joy having you work with us during the past week. The Ann’s Grove/Clonbrook Church felt blessed by your presence and efforts. We are very grateful for all the sacrifices you made to be able to come to Guyana and share the love of our Precious Lord with the lost here. Moreover, we are thankful for the great encouragement you imparted on the local Church here.
Our lives have been greatly blessed by your presence and so have many. We pray that God’s blessings will continue to be with you in all your endeavors. May today and everyday be bright and blessed for you! THANKS for coming to Ann’s Grove! We love you…
From a Distance Yet Close,
Feroze Baksh
